PDO Max threads are medical-grade and very thin absorbable threads that tighten and lift sagging skin tissues. Threads are placed in the subcutaneous layer of your skin using FDA-cleared cannulas or small needles. Once inserted into your skin, the PDO threads result in a rejuvenated, fuller, and lifted look. PDO threads also trigger collagen renewal, and your skin begins to look and feel healthy.

PDO Max uses polydioxanone or PDO threads, and the procedure can be performed in under 45 minutes. After about 6-9 months, PDO threads will dissolve, but their effects last up to two years because of collagen production. Collagen is a protein giving your skin its structure and elasticity. Losing collagen and its structural benefits is one of the main causes of aging skin.

PDO thread lifts can treat most of your face that has signs of aging. The areas around your cheeks, neck, jaw, and eyes are the most treated. Thread lifts are commonly used with anti-aging procedures like Sculptra, Morphueus 8, BellaFill or dermal fillers.

Before your procedure, you will be asked to avoid alcohol and tobacco use for at least five days. You will also be asked to avoid Advil and ibuprofen, aspirin, omega3 fatty acids, and green tea.
PDO threads have a low risk of complications. With PDO threads, you have less risk of severe bruising, scarring, or bleeding when performed by a certified professional. Some complications may occur, but these issues are quickly corrected, including:

PDO thread lift recovery and aftercare are minimal. There might be some slight redness, bruising, and swelling for about 24 to 48 hours, but you can still get back return to your daily activities right after the procedure. Avoid rubbing your face the week following the procedure. You will be advised not to purse your lips, smoke, and drink through a straw. Avoid sleeping on your side, intense exercise, and saunas for a few weeks. Sleep with your head propped on a pillow to help you avoid sleeping on your face.
